Paint Jobs: Normal Pattern: Panther Canyon Brilliant Orange
Also called: brilliant orange phase
These are pure Panther Canyon animals. Their mother is a BRILLIANT orange and their father would be called an "Oro del Rio " (River Gold) or golden-orange phase, another Panther Canyon/Closed Canyon locality morph that we are working to establish.
This beauty from Mike Price's '05 hatch has a very nice light orange and golden-tan background with light lavender highlights. We expect this animal to attain the rich orange coloration of its mother. One of its parents, the father, is displayed on the top of page 38 in the May 2006 issue of Reptiles Magazine.
Like with all naturally occuring color phases, these start out brown, tan or golden-brown and go through an ontogenetic color change as they mature. Shown above are an '08 yearling and an '09 half-sibling hatchling. Our '09s are the best yet! These are representatives of our Panther Canyon Orange x Mustard Blonde animals -- the "ingredients" for a forthcoming designer morph called "Strawberry Blonde". As of 2010, none of the Het Strawberry Blondes produced thus far are old enough to reproduce, so get in on the ground floor of a NEW morph, and ask us about availability!
